Alohaaaaa
Sorry I haven't been posting - I was really caught up with schoolwork etc. But today I tried making some toffee and sharing the recipe with you guys.
Needless to say, I failed. Miserably. The toffee didn't do anything for about 10 minutes, then when I went to grab some water it started to burn. -.-
So I guess I can't share my amazingness recipe. with you guys. Oh well.
Leave a comment if this has ever happened to you before!

It's Winter!!
For all us southernies its winter....
I have mixed feelings about Winter. I mean, it's cold and wet and depressing. But I also love curling up in front of thefire heater and reading a book. Lol I'm cliche.
But I also love dressing up in oversized jumpers and wearing boots.... :D
What do y'all think about winter?

Easy Matte Nails
Alooooohaa
So I've been looking around for any new nail techniques that don't require too many buckaroos, and I found a quick and easy way to have matte nails. It looks great!
Obviously, you can use a matte top coat, but this is a simple way to do it that doesn't require much.
All you need is a pot of water (or a kettle) and a stove.
1) Fill the pot with water
2) Place the pot onto the stove
3) Turn the stove on
4) Wait for the water to boil (might wanna put the lid on)
5) While waiting for the water to boil, paint your nails a good solid colour. For best results use red or black, a dark colour would work better than a light colour)
6) When the water has boiled, quickly place your nails above the steam. Hold it there for a while. Count to 15. Then remove
VOILA YOU NOW HAVE MATTE NAILS.
I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial! Pictures coming soon.

10 facts about me
Since I've just recently started a blog, I feel like you should all get to know me better first, so I'll write 10 facts about myself that you probably don't know.
1) I am a very unorganised person. Tell me to do something and I'll probably forget or leave it to the last minute.
2) I really love reading and writing. A lot.
3) I really like candles. Don't really know why, I just do. I have about 6 right in front of me now.
4) When the One Direction train rolled around, I just couldn't hop on. I think they're all right, but I'm definitely not a huge directioner. That being said, I still think they're good looking. eheh
5) My can't-live-without item is my iPod. If I don't have it with me, I will freak out. Big time.
6) I lose things all the time. I've lost my iPod 3 times (and found it, thank goodness), various drink bottles, pens, pencils, books, clothing.... EVERYTHING.
7) I like symmetrical things. Don't know why, but I just do.
8) One of my childhood fantasies was to become a famous actress. Sadly, I am not gifted in the performing arts.
9) I absolutely luuuuuuuurrrve rom-com movies. I just can't get enough. Especially the movies where one of the characters plays hard to get.
10) I say something sarcastic every few minutes. And it would be so sarcastic no one would notice and would think I was telling the truth.
So. There are some factos about me. Hopefully this gives you some or little insight on me. (Not that you'd really be interested.....)

Travel Essentials
I know that school has started for us in the South, but I still
wanted to make a travel related post because I am currently packing for
my next travel adventure (in about 6 weeks!!!). After watching waay to
many 'What's in my bag' videos, I realised that lots of people have an
'emergency kit' in which they put essential items that they may need at any time. These include things from pills to makeup, and I thought I would give you an insight to what I would bring.
1) You need a cute travel purse to put it all in. Some people might like it to be transparent or sheer, but personally I don't really mind. I just use a plain old one that was given to me on a flight once. www.muji.com has some really nice things.
2) Lucas's Paw Paw Ointment - I cannot say enough about this product. It does absolutely everything! I use it as a lib balm, and often for small cuts and things. I love a great multipurpose product, and this does the trick.
3) Band aids - No explaining necessary. :) I often use it in conjunction with the above. ^
4) Hair ties + bobby pins - Just in case I want my hair up and staying there. Usually, for sleepovers and such I'll bring this and it is quite handy.
5) Some makeup - I have some eyeliner ( L'oreal Eye Illuminator Eyeliner) lipgloss ( Stila lipgloss - the one I did a review on), and teeny tiny mini of J'adore by Dior. I think mum got it as a freebie from the duty free place when she bought a big bottle of it.
Aaaaand that's all! I hope this helped some of you guys and happy travelling to the travellers!

Review: Stila Lip Enamel Luxe Gloss
I got this lipgloss as a present for Christmas, and although I'm not really a lipgloss person, I liked the brush and how it applied the product onto my lips. I like the colour (I'm not sure what the actual name of the colour is) and it's quite a light peach-coral-y tone. Perf for summer!
The product did last quite a long time on my lips (well, until I ate), but I found it was a little sticky (maybe just needed some melting though..) I actually took a long time to figure out how to activate the gloss (might just be me) because I kept twisting the nozzle and the product couldn't come out.
Overall, I think it is a good product and I might repurchase it because it is a little pricey ( where I live anyway).
